qozu privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-10-22

qozu is a browser extension. It runs entirely in your browser; there is no helper app, agent or server on our side. This policy says what happens to your data.

What qozu does not have

qozu has no accounts, no servers that receive your data, no analytics and no advertising. We do not see your browsing, your chats or your API key.

What stays in your browser

Your API key, provider settings, chats, notes, saved site changes, recorded recipes, scheduled jobs, results and a log of actions are stored in your browser profile (extension storage and IndexedDB). Your API key is stored unencrypted, so anyone with access to your browser profile or computer account could read it. You can see and clear stored data in Settings, remove the key at any time, and removing the extension deletes everything.

What leaves your browser

When you ask qozu to do something, the text of your request and the parts of pages that the task needs are sent, directly from your browser, to the AI provider you chose in Settings (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or an OpenAI-compatible endpoint you entered), using your own API key. That traffic is governed by that provider’s terms and privacy policy. qozu does not receive it.

Before the first request, the panel asks you to agree that your messages and the page parts a task needs will be sent to your chosen provider. Nothing is sent until you agree.

Images and screenshots are never sent to a model; pages are read as text.

When you ask qozu to look something up, it opens the page in your browser like you would, so the website sees a normal visit from you.

Permissions

The extension asks for access to all websites so it can work on whichever page you ask about and call your chosen provider. It also uses Chrome’s powerful “debugger” permission to read app-style pages and click or type on them. It only reads or changes a page when your request needs it. See the permission list in the store listing for the reason for each permission.

Control

In “Asks first” mode qozu shows each action and waits for your OK. In “Full access” mode it runs without asking. You choose.

Children

qozu is not directed to children.
